I recommend going on the jsfirm website. Many of the jobs I found when I got out I got through that website. Some of the jobs on there offer relocation assistance as well if the job is in demand.
If you’re looking to stay in a DoD or government agency I would apply for anything you might be interested in. I used my clearance from the Air Force to get a contracting position that I didn’t know anything about or have any experience in. I knew the contract was ending in 7 months, but I used it to get my foot in the door and make connections with other contracts and government employees. I worked with employees and the PM of a different contractor on projects and walked into a better job with them. Since then, I’ve been able to go where I want and work my way to a position that fit me. Moral of the story is don’t limit yourself to intel and look at any operations, planning, or business related positions you can find while looking for what to actually want. The beauty of contracting is the turnover is high and no one cares if you change jobs pretty regularly until you get that government position, if that’s your goal.

What are you trying to do post military career wise?
Hey 👋 First off, thank you for your service 🙏 Transitioning from the military to civilian work can be challenging, but you’ve already got a strong foundation in analysis, discipline, and leadership, skills that employers truly value 💪
If you’re not getting much traction from mass applications, I’d definitely recommend connecting with a career recruiter or transition specialist who understands the intelligence and defense space around San Antonio. They can help you target roles that fit your clearance level and experience more strategically.
If you’d like, reach out to alfredpetersonhiringteam.gmail.com , Alfred has helped several veterans smoothly transition into civilian analyst and intel roles (including one of my former teammates 🎖️). He’ll help you refine your resume and strategy so you land something faster 🚀
