Crossroads Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. I have been with the organization almost 6 years and have accomplished achievement of my MSL (Masters Strategic Leadership) and LOVE the organization…BUT…I am not having any success in moving into a new position…my interviews are great experiences but it seems to be a pattern of not being selected yet encouraged to continue applying…received information from a mentor/manager to ask for candid feedback…when is enough…ENOUGH??

My first question is why do you want to be in HR and do you have any education or experience in the field?
Second question is regarding the salary. Is the HR Assistant salary in line with what you currently need?
While it's important to think long term and gain experience in a field you want to be in, you also have to consider the ability to pay current bills.
The current economy is not favorable to HR roles. Keep that in mind.
No one can make the decision for you...just think both roles through.
While one may be a passion and get you where you want to be long term, it may not pay what you are looking for (for years).
And the other may pay well but your heart may not be in it.
Not an easy choice. But I'm happy for you to have the option of actual offers...those are hard to come by in the current market.
I would personally take the management role. Especially in this economy. With inflation and tariffs being what they are, sticking with the job that pays you more while working on your HR skills would probably be the better option. But I tend to be pretty risk-averse, so take that with a grain of salt.
Chase is such a huge company. You can find mentors in HR to help you with your journey into that space. The key is to network and you’ll be meeting your goals sooner than you think.
