Where are you based OP? DHL has its own Consulting arm focused mainly on in-house projects, especially if based in Germany at the corporate HQ. They have US and Singapore offices that are regionally focus and tend to do more external client projects (think: post-merger supply chain integration). Might be worth having a look there.
I’m based in Minneapolis at the moment. I interviewed at DHL out of school but the manager left in between rounds so it kind of fell through. I’ll take a look again, good call out!
Are you looking to do consulting specifically?
For FAANG, Amazon is your most logical option.
Also really depends on your level of functional knowledge in the space. WMS depending on which one it is can be a great starting point if it’s a sophisticated product like Manhattan and you are familiar with control systems, automation, etc.
As an exercise I do a few times a year - If you were to look out ten years, where do you want to be- then future write the resume that you think would land you there.
For context I started in Oracle WMS and TMS (G-Log) then moved into full Oracle Supply Chain Suite. Then I picked up Manhattan and controls then had to pivot to also become functional in SAP.
Good luck and DM me if you have any questions I can help answer.
If you’re looking to go into supply chain consulting (on the tech side), that’s what I currently work in and would be happy to discuss/provide a referral if you’re interested. My firm is mid sized, has FANTASTIC culture and is rapidly growing right now.
Absolutely. I’ll DM you
