Probably due to overbuilding and excess inventory in markets like Texas. Or maybe they've got a larger margin to work with and want to move inventory quickly.
What do you suggest, is it good time to buy? i still see high home rates in Austin, Texas. I feel rates should go down further - it dosent match with the salaries around - everything is going up except for the salaries - last 20 years i dont see significant increase in the salaries - everything else went up - grocery prices, home prices, cloths, dining, flight tickets - pretty much everything except for the salaries - in fact its going down ..
