I am seeing absolutely killer deals with inventory homes in north Texas. (I'm a realtor)
Not just lower priced homes, but almost all closing costs and title fees covered by the builder, sometimes appliances included.
Is anyone else in the real estate industry seeing this?

Probably due to overbuilding and excess inventory in markets like Texas. Or maybe they've got a larger margin to work with and want to move inventory quickly.

What do you suggest, is it good time to buy? i still see high home rates in Austin, Texas. I feel rates should go down further - it dosent match with the salaries around - everything is going up except for the salaries - last 20 years i dont see significant increase in the salaries - everything else went up - grocery prices, home prices, cloths, dining, flight tickets - pretty much everything except for the salaries - in fact its going down ..

Thinking of switching employers. Do you think bigger retail stores (the ones that have several locations) are easier or harder to work at than little hole-in-the-wall grocery stores (which is all I've ever done)? It seems like the larger chain stores would have more downtime, but I'm wondering if anyone could give some input.

What's a good place to live to access both downtown and Argonne national lab in Lemont? I live on the far north side of Chicago now, but my partner got a new job and it would be an hour each way by car to commute for him. I work downtown along the red line. Looking for somewhere affordable, not interested in night life or anything but groceries and transit need to be 10 minute walk or less and be safe. Also prefer CTA over metra since my company has later night events. Thank you!!
