You’re not gonna like it, but here’s the solution to all your problems:
1. Post the salary in your listing (not a range).
2. Make it a big fat number.
Imagine if salary is bad for attorneys, how us paralegals feel at most law firms.
Have you tried using Linked in? I feel like EVERYONE is using Linked in these days which I hate but it seems to be where everyone is at.
Pro
Agreed, I think LinkedIn might be the way to go. Seems almost everyone I know in the legal world has a LinkedIn profile now
Is the pay realistic? You’ll know it’s realistic if you post it and most candidates are asking for the 60-80%ile of the range. If they’re asking for the 100% or asking if you can go higher than what’s posted then your pay is too low to attract the candidate you want. If you aren’t posting the range it’s a red flag & you should stop complaining.
Other red flags: Does the firm have a bad reputation? Are you trying to convince attorneys to work more for less money than they’re getting elsewhere?
Usually if you’re having consistent problems hiring it’s definitely a “you” problem. There’s way too many unemployed attorneys to not be able to land a few.
And if you have a 5 day in office mandate you might as well just stop complaining now.
100% agree

I’ve found most of my roles on LinkedIn. I think that’s where most people work.
Out of curiosity, what year attorneys are you looking for? And what is the billable requirement and base/bonus comp?
The number of hours for a minimal amount of pay, especially in those areas, is not going to recruit good talent. You get what you pay for.
Did you try posting at your local Bar Association?
i didn't! where/ how do i do that?
Call the Bar Association by you. The Court should have their number! Google it!

The other way is working with lawyer staffing agency, and they can introduce lawyers to you even short term. Or if you are willing to train new lawyers, I am sure there are more candidates looking to get a job
Have you tried posting on the Ladders?
Have you tried hiring flexible part time or 1099 with higher pay?
