Hi Everyone!!
I am about to start working in ValueLabs as System Analyst (DevOps Engineer).
I am really looking forward for the same and am excited about it. Can anyone who is already working share his/her experience over there, growth perspective, culture and other useful things. Valuelabs
Mindtree culture is detoriating day by day . No clarity on hike and appraisal even though mail have been sent regarding this since Dec 2021 . Disgusting HR head practice who joined from CTS . How come they don't abide by what they communicate and keep silence without any update for delay .
Shameful . Feeling Disappointed. Has joined this company 11 months back with hopes for longer and fruitful association but will resign soon . Pathetic company Mindtree

Golden Rule # 1 in Corporates - NEVER take retention offer and stay back. Once you resign, you are already marked as a flight risk who is "not loyal" anymore.
If you take the retention today, then starting tomorrow you will be taken for granted. You won't get any hikes for the next 2 yrs. and also even if there a great new work opportunity, they won't give it to you.
15 yrs is a long time. Go ahead and explore a different organization. You will get to learn more and diversify your portfolio.
Stay back. Don't join infy, Retention is not always bad like everyone says
Stay with IBM. If they are trying to retain you with same package, it means they consider you as a valuable resource. Note : Not all employees are retained. Just focus on what’s today and do not think about tomorrow’s appraisal. Are you sure Infy will be giving appraisal in 2027. Did you perform any comparison in variable pay?
Stay!!
Get retained with higher package and switch again in 6-12 months. only focus on role and money if similar level of company.
In recent futures, IT might not be able to give internal hikes, so focus on money and not emotions.
IBM's work culture and Flexibility is much better than any other MNC in India. I have worked in Wipro and Accenture and currently working at IBM. I am very happy with IBM.
Stay with IBM
If you stay back they may put you in pip and kick you out
Check whether ibm does that, is anyone retained recently what happened to them
WLB is comparatively better in IBM than Infosys. Since they are offering same package you can stay back and try for other companies after few months.
Stay with IBM
IBM policies are more flexible in terms of WFH compared to Infy. It will be confusing as you are moving out of your comfort zone but it may be worth it as Infy in general is good company to work for atleast few years.
What is the tech stack?
SAP
I am from infosys better to stay with ibm
Unless its a career pivot like AI/ML dont go for a service based company from IBM. BTW can Infy afford IBM level salaries?
I accepted the retention 2 years ago and have been regretting ever since.
Things change after retention. You will be burdened with more work and less recognitions.
SAP is one technology where GBS has work but problem will be band later if not now . Generally, only 7 and below hope to get consistent billable work nowadays . For SAP it might get to 8 max. Salary should not be criterion,. Partner culture is leading to rampant PIP culture . Remember, there are now 12 types of PIP , all weaponised to get rid of people on one pretext or another.
First you need to ask yourself why did you look out for job
If you are expecting more salary and ok with work environment.. you should stay in IBM
Remember all IT companies are same .. until you bring value addition to your company then there will be no issue..
All those who are advising against joining Infosys are unaware of problems unique to Partner centric companies like IBM GBS . For bands higher than 7, it's very difficult to get billable assignment. Earlier it was for bands higher than 8 . Partner just wants to save costs by employing lower band people in the project , even if the work complexity demands higher band .In Indian mncs like Infosys, Tcs this is not the case . In GBS mant people are not even eager to promotion to bands 8 and above .
I worked in both. I can always vouch for IBM if they are retaining you. Much better pay structure and WLB and brand name. Infosys also good in everything except compensation you probably end up in same salary after 4/5 years in infy. If salary is not priority infosys is also very good. WLB depends upon project to project and it's almost same in IBM. Job security is very very high in infosys. At your experience i believe that is something which you be looking at.
Now retention in IBM or any company. I would say you get it confirmed by email or in system. Don't believe any verbal confirmation from anybody. That's how usually they fool their employees
Indian MNCs like Infosys, TCS don't have Partner designations. The profit sharing culture makes them very ruthless to higher bands >= 8
Stay with IBM. Retention is not that bad thing. There is no guarantee of hike after joining infosys for couple of years. You have to start from 0 in the new organisation.
