I am working with an org for last 13.5 Yrs, Having a total experience of 14 Yrs.

I have worked on mostly Java support projects (doing cut/copy/paste code) from here to there. Due to some personnel issues, was not able to change the organization.

I’ve been told my company is changing my title from Associate Director of BD to Sales Executive. I’m concerned it reads like a title demotion. Is it just semantics? My dilemma… I am an injury adjuster at a carrier experiencing high inventory that’s barely manageable. A competitor offered a higher salary and manageable workload. BUT, I would like to get into underwriting. I applied for UW position w/ a different carrier and they’ve made an offer. It’s lower than my current salary and significantly lower than what I’d make by taking the first offer. Do I take the high salary and stay in claims or go for UW in hopes it will be best in long run?

I joined Mindtree on 8th Feb and not got project and I was waiting for last 2 and half month. So, i gave interview outside (tech mahindra) and got selected. Almost 30-35% they said they will give and i am negotiating on it.

My main concern was shift and i have some health issues and unable to continue in night shift in Mindtree and tech mahindra its purely EMEA shift and per project team update.

Shall i switch to tech Mahindra?

Is secondment provided to newly hired managers?

Does anyone have resources on understanding whether/how legal advocacy matters, how it actually achieves what it purports to achieve? Been doing this nearly 5 years now and just really don’t see how all the effort is worth it. I don’t get the sense that outcomes are impacted by skill level, work quality, time spent. Seems you can make your client’s case worse (e.g., by missing a deadline or some egregious error), but that’s about it. So, practice of law feels quite pointless. What am I missing?
