Best Hyatt in Hawaii (ideally Kona or Maui)?
Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

Millennial? Are you still on their phone plan too?
Why does where your parents live affect your choice of airline?
I'm in the same living situation, all depends what you want. I chose United.
United: pro =crazy tons of international routes, more valuable miles and lifetime status is better con= its United (operations sub par, customer service terrible, expect delays)
Delta: pro=great customer service and operations con=sky pesos, not as many international routes
You'll never get status if you split airlines.
OP, if you have Marriott Platinum, you can get United Silver
^by doing the status match
I like to have the option to go there or go to the airport from there.
That's a pretty weak reason. Delta has old ass second hand planes. AA has a ton on new planes but there's that whole US Airways fleet issue.
Where are the majority of your clients? Our lives are stressful enough, go with convenience. Take into account where you're flying to.
I guess my question is really about two things - do all airlines have equal amount of shitty/nice planes and service? And is it bad to have two airlines? I know there's the whole "lifetime" miles thing but I don't think I'm going to stay in consulting long enough to avail that...or if I stay until partner then I'll have to have two airlines anyway.
Also maybe it's worth a mention that I'm two years into consulting, have gotten gold status with American (but no longer an option really) and have some mileage with Delta.
Is United silver the most basic one? I only have Marriott platinum as a result of the merger.
