I currently work in a public school and am wanting to potentially meet with my superintendents to formally ask for a raise. What I am needing to know is what is your hourly rate of pay? I have been in the same position for 6 years, working as an admin assistant in a high school office. My coworker who has been here 2 years less is making a small amount more than me, which is frustrating. I just want to know what is a comparable and attainable hourly rate.

Ladies, I commend all of you who are pregnant and lawyering on the daily! I am 10 weeks pregnant and haven’t been working much since I left my firm in March. I tell my husband every day “IDK how anyone is pregnant and practicing law at the same time.” After a morning in court last month I was totally out of commission for the day. Has anyone else had a mentor (assigned to them by the Company) who seemed to have it out for you? I mean downright sabotage to make you look bad left and right. I didn’t realize it at first. She was fake friendly, but she was discrete too. Some of the executives thought she was amazing, but I had to clean up her work all the time. She wasn’t above me either on the chain of command. Later I found out she had tried for the exec assistant role and they didn’t choose her, they wanted me instead.
