I currently work in an outside sales role in a non-tech industry. I have an offer from Google for an Account Strategist position but my current employer counter offered with a Business Development Director role. Pay is slightly higher.

Is there opportunity for an Account Strategist to move to an AE and/or sales management role? If so, what does that timeline typically look like?

I’m interested in breaking into tech, but I also do not want to lose a great sales management opportunity.

Is moving from Product management to management consulting a right move given the future growth and compensation ? When would be the right time for me to get an MBA given my background?

I was a teacher for 4 years and transitioned into the corporate world. I have 6 months experience in marketing and that’s what I currently do, but plan for a lateral move in the future. I’ve seen suggestions of 3-7 years experience - does my teaching experience factor in? Or should I consider the 3-7 years only of my corporate time? I completed my interview loop at Google on August 12, 2022. My recruiter informed me on August 29th that due to a couple of realignments within the org, the hiring manager has not shared any feedback. I was informed on September 8th that the hiring committee is scheduled the next day (September 9th) and that I can expect a final feedback latest by September 12th. I wasn’t informed of the results and reached out, but the recruiter isn’t replying to my emails. Does this mean I was rejected?

However, there is an opportunity to join Google Dublin as an Agency Development Manager (level 4) with strong salary, new challenges, different role and responsibilities etc. I HAVE A STRONG DOUBT about a trade off: is better to have a strong margin of growth and a good position or join Google with the above conditions?

A recruiter emailed me saying they saw I applied for a role as a referred candidate, and they are “sharing my resume with the recruiter supporting this role for further review.” Is this a good sign? I’m surprised a recruiter reached out about my application who isn’t the recruiter for the job. Trying to moderate my hope if it’s not actually that promising?

3rd interview in 4 months for 3 different positions. I heard I wait a year to apply again but I make it to onsite and don’t move on and apply again 3 weeks later. Is that bad? They keep calling back.
