I did my undergrad in finance about four years ago but ended up in the insurance industry due to the pandemic job market. I know the market is still tight, but wondering how I can finally break into corporate finance as originally planned. Any advice is appreciated.

If you make it to senior manager at big four can you leave and become partner or director at mid size firm? Is this hard to do? I know there is a lot of politics at big four and have no interest staying in a senior manager role for 6-8 years and risk a chance of still not becoming partner. Also I got a long way to go before senior manager fyi.
