I dislike wasting time. I had a phone screen with CVS this morning for a remote data manager position. The pay range was clearly listed within the job description and I clearly stated my range during the application process.

The recruiter stated 75k which is beyond ridiculous for managing a team of analysts. I declined to move forward. I know my worth and my resume / background speaks for itself. I wish the recruiter would've paid more attention to my app instead of wasting my time.

Do you only look for the portfolio URL?

Is a bulleted list helpful if you’ve never heard of the agencies?

Has anyone here renegotiated their salary after a short time being in a role? I accepted a position and I like what I do but I realize that the workload requires a lot to see success and I feel a bit burned out already with my 40 hours/week and occasional extra 30 minutes to an hour a day.

I am stuck between putting in my time and showing my value and asking for an increase to validate doing so to avoid job hopping after a year or so.

Is Operations paid the least at your respective firms? I was hired to a Client Service Delivery role with a heavy focus on project management. I regularly interface with leadership internally and at the client. But, I am aligned to the “Operations” capability and make the least of my teammates who perform seemingly identical work but are aligned to “Strategy and Consulting.” I worry I’m on a career path to being paid the least wherever I go, because Operations is in my title and background.

Been with company for 2.5 years in a SFA role, and they just let me hire an associate financial analyst reporting into me. My manager never mentioned anything in regards to a promotion, but when I asked, I was told that there will be an evaluation period before any promotion is given.
