I do not recommend working at Blue Star in Warren, MI. The workplace culture is unsafe and unprofessional — alcohol is present and consumed during work hours, including by employees who operate heavy machinery.
When safety concerns were raised, management and HR did not take them seriously, and I was yelled at instead of being heard. This creates not only a dangerous but also a hostile work environment.
Potential employees should be aware of these conditions before considering this workplace.

2-after that interview went very well
3 - hr discussion with salary , ready to initiate my offer in 2 hr

I got rejected for an interview from Big 4 NY Audit, even had referrals from Manager + level people. 3 years w/ audit senior at mid size firm, 2 years fed tax at big 4, and 1.5 years Internal Audit healthcare. Currently self employed for a year to work on investing. Do I literally need a partner level referral to get back into Audit? I thought there was an accountant shortage.
