Is coinbase remote or in office?
My base loc is Bengaluru, but currently I am not mandatorily required to work from office, and have been working from home since I joined Deloitte in July. Should I talk to my manager and go back to my hometown Kolkata and work from there? Staying in PG all day and working from here is not quite feasible for me. Suggest pls. Deloitte India

Can anyone tell me about the training given in hashedin for lateral employees.
Is it only assessments or is some sort of training also given? And what is the difficulty level?
Will the instructors help the employees....?
Any information will be useful...🙂
Thanks in advance!

Work from home while at happy hour. Much more fun lol. Or work at a friends place

This is the way to do it. Get a coworking space, go to a coffee shop, find a group of other young professionals.
WeWork, the most overvalued startup outside of Theranos, was founded on this idea😂
I’d recommend getting a hobby to do in your downtime and develop your personal life! Make your life outside of work more fulfilling so you can take full advantage of WFH - life isn’t about work! :)

Nope. I’m laying in my bed now, I have a few minutes between meetings, and nothing to do currently. Unlike in the office where I would have to twiddle my thumbs and look productive to be seen as a “good worker.”
Felt.
I personally love it.
When I have time to step away, I can step away and play with my dogs, go grab food, run errands, take care of household chores.
My life is so much more efficient when I don’t waste time sitting in an office during free time and commuting back and forth.
Sometimes. I like to schedule in random things in my day to help break it up, even if it’s just chores. Today, I took some time to make a nice lunch. I’m also involved in a few extra planning committees, etc. at my firm and that gives me a reason to get to the office once in a while:)

Then go work at the office? No one is stopping you. I don’t understand the idea that people who like working from home generally say “work where you want, home, office, wherever” but then people who dislike work from home for themselves say “we should all come back to the office”
That's because those who prefer WFH don't need to get the enjoyment (or whatever dimension) of interacting with people in person, yet those who prefer the office almost always need some form of in-person interaction.
So those who are cool with WFH aren't reliant on others and are fine with whatever anyone does (as it doesn't affect me and what I'm doing), while those who go into the office need others there, otherwise it becomes this dilemma where no one is in the office and it's a ghost town, yet they don't like WFH. So they're stuck with neither option working out for them.
There's WFH for those who like it, but in such a model there is no guarantee of in-person interaction for the person who prefers the office. They're either forced to conform to WFH or hope others will also be in the office.
I enjoy not spending hours on commute, otherwise it's a non-factor for me.
2 hours of life wasted commuting every day adds up
It’s boring but I enjoy working in my pjs💆🏻♀️
I think it’s harder for those in their early career who’s starting during/post pandemic
I feel like I have no balance 🙃
I enjoy it on Monday and Friday, but the rest of the days I like being in the office. No distractions and nice to get out of the house
Same !
The hardest part about work is getting up and going to it, we don’t need to make that harder
As someone that spends 60% time developing in tableau / sql / r etc, I enjoy working from home. If I was spending less time developing and more time on team - related activities, then I would prefer to be in person
Yes thats why I go to the office everyday and have been able to connect way better with everyone
Yep do the same and the benefits have been massive.
I was work from home at my first job out of college (graduated 2020). I had a fantastic manager at my first job but that was the only real relationship with a co worker I was able to build. Tried to meet up with a few other coworkers but they all flaked. Now at my new job I’m in person atleast 3 days a week (although it’s flexible some people are definitely doing 2). I feel like as someone early in their career being in person is great for learning about your job and getting to know your team. At my new job I have lots of people I’ve built relationships with over the past 6 months (I started in august) Friends from other teams that I hang out with regularly and learned way more than I did at my previous job. I only have positive things to say about my old company but I strongly believe going into the office a few days a week makes a big difference in your ability to learn and grow at a company.
I agree. Many of us believe we are not learning as much working from home/virtually. While some may thrive working from home, others may thrive being in person.
Agreed! I’ve been struggling with this since I started. I wish I could work face to face sometimes and interact with others
WFH is a blessing - but completely dependent on your living situation.
Felt this. Did you graduate during COVID? I did and feel like I’m missing out on a lot of learning that i could have cuz of had being in the office for some time, would love a hybrid role to solidify some skills and be able to ask questions on the spot as I have them and then a few years down the line work remote when I’m a lot more confident
I’m hybrid rn. Graduated in 2022. I love it. Would hate being in the office 5 days a week commuting but I do like going in once or twice a week
If you have a VPN, work from a sbux, Barnes and nobles, panera’
agree with you
