Having done it. I can only say do it! It will be life changing but in so many good ways. Yes you’ll struggle with the culture and it will take time, but when you’re doing that you’ll also make friends from all over the world thr have done the same in that country. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. Do it, you’ll be happy you did
Do it!!! It’s really life changing. I’ve done study abroad and some of my best memories were with new friends in new places :) I’ve also found that leaving is the hardest part but once you’ve left it’s the easiest thing ever (chiche I know but it’s SO true!) and also if you don’t like it it’s not that hard to come back to your old life (ppl think it’s hard but it’s really not). It’s either what you have now or something new. That’s just it.

Having lived in 5 countries since reaching adulthood, plan ahead to find a job that takes you forward in your career,or at least let’s you tread water while you’re abroad, then go on an adventure of a lifetime!

I regret not doing that when younger. I’d recommend Italy because they are so welcoming. Please do it no matter where.

I moved abroad 8 years ago. I thought it will be for a year or two but I love the excitement of discovering new places (cultures, languages, people etc) so much that I’m still living my best life!
Go for it! You can always move back if you don’t like it :)

Europe is amazing!! A long sabbatical sounds great too!
Work culture here is brutal but honestly I most days stop working at 7pm so it’s not bad for everyone.
Maybe it would help to reframe it? Don’t consider it the “unknown” since so many humans are currently living their own comfortable lives there. It’s not like space or the open ocean :)

I like this. I guess I just meant it is unknown for me but you’re definitely right. I’m not the first to do this :)
Have done it a few times and while it’s always a challenge to move and resettle, for me, being in a new place and experiencing/learning a new culture makes the trouble worthwhile
Do it
DO IT!

If not now, when?
Europe is so US like and easy . Try Latin America, rural I dia, or something unusual. Youll have a story to tell for the rest of your life.
