I feel like I don't get many recruiters or companies reaching out to me on linked in. Maybe once every few months. I have my status as open for new roles. My profile is not bad...I would like to get more hits. How do people get recruiters to reach out? I am a new senior manager with 7 years consulting experience.

First thing you need to do is take off the “open for new roles” badge. Makes you look desperate.

Okay didn't know that...thanks for the info on being thirsty

Recruiters don’t need to reach out, they have so many freaking applicants for every job posting that they don’t have to headhunt the way they used to.

It told me to get more hits, I needed to follow one simple step:

✅hire a hit man.

I try not to ever say I’m looking for work. I’m the cool guy that everyone wants. I’m considering the job you’re recruiting and interested in learning more but I want to seem desirable, not desperate

You answered this yourself. You describe your LinkedIn profile as "not bad".

If you don't think your LinkedIn profile is a great representation of you then absolutely no one else will either.

Get your profile singing and make it relevant to whatever role you want next, if it's right the recruiters will flock to you like flies to s**t

I finally got a raise (after 10 years) from 45k to 50k with less than 10k in incentives while others who are just starting at lower positions make more than me..I want to bring this up but don’t want to come off in a bad way considering they finally gave me a raise this year.

Motivation is key when it comes to bettering yourself, your team and your brand. Without self-motivation, you'll be less likely to inspire your team to work together to better your business. Like a muscle, self-motivation becomes stronger the more you use it. Mastering the art of self-motivation will take some time to become a habit. However, with daily practice, you'll not only better yourself and your business, you'll inspire your team to lead more meaningful personal and professional lives.

I joined a new consulting firm and have been here for 6 months. Recently, a SaaS client (1k employees) that hired my old consulting firm reached out to me about a job opening - Lead BA working primarily to implement their benefit admin system for insurance companies. My current TC is 95k. Is it worth making the jump if the offer is north of 110k? Anything I should look out for? The client and coworkers were all nice, but I remember being stressed on the project due to limited resources.

Our firm told everyone no bonuses this year due to the pandemic. However, people like myself with high utilization received a “bonus” in terms of a gift card. My director notified me of this, but the other day my boss was mentioning how no bonuses this year really sucks. I was told by the director to not mention it to anyone but I figured if anyone knew I got one it’d be my boss. I feel super uncomfortable now because do I essentially lie to my boss because I’m not supposed to talk about it.
