I'm at a target uni for Big 4 accounting. I applied for and received an offer for Summer 2023 Risk&FinancialAdvisory - Technology internship w Deloitte. I'd like to get into Big 4 consulting ideally when full-time. I'm an engineering student - I'm not going to be interested in IT audit. Summer 2023 will be the summer after sophomore year, so I'll be declining the full-time return offer and I'll be looking for a different internship after junior year.

Our district is so lax on the students this year. With tech issues and distance learning days, we’ve gone from accommodating to enabling real quick. No penalties for late work, taking excuses for attendance, lower academic and behavioral standards... We were beginning to make so much progress on transforming our school culture, but this year is erasing that and then some. I’m currently working for a small technical consulting start-up firm. I make good money, have great benefits, and they seem very happy with the work I’m doing, so I know I could move up quickly. However, tech consulting is definitely not my dream job. I want to get into data analytics, and I have an offer from a big company to do just that. I’ve only been at my current company for about 8 months, but I don’t ever see myself loving this job. How do I know when it’s time to make a change?

Left for industry and now I feel like a slacker when I leave at 6. My boss leaves at 5 and usually doesn’t expect stuff till the next day which also feels weird :/
