Hey Fishbowl community! I currently work as a Sales Support Specialist with 3 YOE working at a SaaS company. My dream career is to work at Microsoft or Google. Something I learned early in my career was that the smartest people are those who will admit they don't know something. Guess what, that's how they got smart. It's a common problem in society that people don't want to admit what they don't know. And in a meeting dynamic like you describe it can be comical. People will nod along to buzzwords and gibberish rather than ask what on earth the person is babbling about.

Your career path is inspiring. I like what you said about humility being a strength rather than a weakness. It really does separate people who keep learning from those who stop growing. That perspective is something I want to carry with me too.
I love that you asked it. Half the room usually has the same question but will not admit it. Pretending helps no one, and honesty usually makes the meeting sharper.
