It's normal the recruiter didn't respond because all they can say is, "idk, I'm waiting to hear back from the team for the salary approval"
Usually takes awhile. Took two weeks at PwC to get all the approvals and such
but is it normal that the recruiter has not replied to me since last week?
You can always say you have another job offer that you are expecting to receive by end of week to push them along if you want to get things done faster, though it can open up to risk, but every job interview process I’ve been in I have received 2 offers, and of one comes out quicker I let the recruiter know that I have a deadline to respond and want an offer and they usually send me one quickly there after
^ this will work. But to answer your question, yes this is normal (or at least not uncommon). If you have the recruiter’s phone number, you may want to give them a call. This is a very heavy recruiting/hiring season and I’m sure your recruiter is swamped, so while not an excuse, your email could have gotten buried.
Most recruiting processes take more than a few workdays to confirm.
