Yes. I have multiple higher ed degrees and took those off my resume once I didn’t get a job in that field.
I’ll also say this: as someone who hires, sometimes people are both over qualified and under qualified. I have had corporate people be both good and bad at stores. Corporate offices are nothing like retail sales floor and so I’ve learned, that while someone might be “overqualified” for the role, they also can honestly be under-equipped for the role.
I’m assuminf it really depends!
Yes. I got rejected for an apprenticeship role because I am an expert in the field.
Yeah I usually don’t apply for certain things too!
Id take it as they werent willing to pay you your worth and keep searching, personally tailoring down a resume for a job seem like tryna hit a target in a dark room you dont know what their expectations may truly be in the end so you may take off too much or not enough, too much of a "if" instead of a direct correlation.

Agreed! I’d definitely keep my resume as is and only tailor it to highlight certain aspects of my experience for certain roles

I typically don’t tailor my resume. I refine it each time I send it, to make sure it is up to par
That’s a good idea!
