Hi, I'm leaving Citi in 2 months. It's hard to make this decision. I have an offer from a small startup. In citi, my previous experience was not considered and was reskilled to different tech which is the reason for change.I don't like to exit citi. As I like the company so much. But considering my current knowledge,I am in the middle of the sea.I am afraid now that the new company's offer would be revoked due to this recession?Or can I take back my resignation in citi before the last working day.Is this wise decision?
CRED Vs Razorpay offer evaluation
I Received offers from Razorpay and CRED for a product role.
Razorpay: 50 LPA fixed + 45 Lakhs ESOPs.
CRED: 60 LPA fixed + 75 Lakhs ESOPs
What should I decide between CRED and Razorpay?
How are appraisals at Razorpay? What's the average hike percentage? Can we ask for more ESOPS during the appraisal before vesting the current ESOPs?
YOE: 6 Current Current CTC: 35 Fixed.
Razorpay software private limited Cred

I live in Missouri so I’m not sure what cost of living looks like in your area but from an experience standpoint, I’m sure it’s a great opportunity. I was a credit analyst right out of college (2020) and I’ve doubled my salary. Portfolio management is a very great skill to gain out of college. I’ve only worked in small banks so this may be easier said than done for you but don’t get locked behind your computer. Create relationships with lenders, other analysts, credit admin, etc. because those connections will help guide you to/through your next role.
I stayed an analyst and learned as much as possible about different career options at my first job. A role opened up on the loan processing side at the same company when I was about a year and some change in so I took the leap. A few months after that a different Bank reached out to me to become an AVP- Lender so I took another leap. I wouldn’t suggest hopping around unless the opportunity presents itself and/or your work environment becomes toxic. You won’t grow if you don’t go outside of your comfort zone!
That's a good start. You can start building your experience and then move to a higher position. You can also negotiate for a higher salary. Congratulations, btw.
Location, school you went to, what experience you brought in, all matter.
San Diego, CA. SDSU. I have no finance experience but I have managed my family’s retail business part time through college (4 yrs).
