I am generally uncomfortable when I’m around my mother-in-law’s husband.

While he is overall a decent guy, his anger issues, yelling at his wife for the slightest issue, and insulting nature makes me uncomfortable and triggers my own anger due to his blatant disrespect for just about everyone around him.

My mother-in-law says he’s worked on things, but it’s been 10 years of this and I’m not sure I want such behavior around my wife and our kids since we’re trying to conceive soon (cont).

Any tips for organizing a bedroom, closet, dresser & bathroom? My teen has IADHD, and low executive functioning. Her room looks like a land mine. Clean clothes are mixed in with dirty, her desk is a disaster, she won’t let go of clothes she’s outgrown, drawers are open with clothes hanging out. A therapist said to close her door if we don’t want to see it but it’s more than that. She needs this important life skill & I don’t know how to help. Easier to organize w/o her but that’s not a solution.

I have been using this emoji 🙏 and saying to so many colleagues and clients “I’ll pray for you” with such warm and genuine receipt that I think sometimes God uses hopelessness to open people’s hearts to Him. I’m a first generation professional and have been in this industry for only a few years. Anyone have an suggestions for dealing with discouragement and burnout? It’s been challenging trying to maintain career optimism and figure out my career with little guidance while also trying to be an encouragement to burnt out colleagues when I’m already feeling weary.

It has been hard to find a church in NYC where your friends with kids around 12yo are not moving to somewhere else.

Is is advised or discouraged to list volunteer service on a resume?

I feel it helps me stand out but am also worried some may judge me helping others through my church with being anti- this or that.
