I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.
I was wondering if I have the necessary skills to transition into a tech sales role. If so, what would be the best role/fit for me?Amazon Salesforce Google @

Disney Streaming Services I completed my interview process with DSS early last week, and was reached out by recruiter that all rounds were strong hires, and they are extending an offer. We set a time to talk on Friday about the offer. However, the announcement of targeted hiring freeze happened on Friday. I was ghosted with no call. What should I expect now? Would I still have chance to be offered?
Wanted to highlight Prudential Financial’s hiring practices. They rescinded my offer once I attempted to negotiate the salary. The official reason given was that I didn’t “sound excited enough”.
They then admittedly gave the offer to someone who was less qualified. There were other red flags throughout the job offer process that the HR team should overall be ashamed of.

Declined to proceed in the interview process at multiple companies recently due to these presentations. I can get on board for a case study for an internship, recent graduate or a sales position. However, if you have years of experience it just feels like the company is crowdsourcing an answer - for free. Told the recruiter that and said my knowledge and expertise isn’t free so if they would like a 10+ slide presentation they can pay me for consulting. It just seems unethical since in theory they could use your idea to actually solve a client issue.
Thank you Thank you Thank you. Reading this on my Monday morning has made my day. I agree with you 💯. The sad thing is that those same companies rarely end up filling the position. If and when they do its a short lived role due to their failure to effectively and efficiently understand what the expectations should be. These aren't start-up either as one may assume. These are large, seasoned employers with current employees feeling the demands and chaos of their superiors. My two cents. Thank you again and to all- you got this!
They can ask but you don't have to. Your product will get used and may not get hired. My best advise- trust your gutt on this one. Why pay if they can get it for free. Godspeed!
Employers have a lot of nerve in this job market right now. They know they have the power.
Yes, I’ve done these before and have gotten jobs from it. In some ways it is preferable to me over random gotcha questions from memorizing leetcode problems.

I recently interviewed with a company that told me I have to prepare presentation slides and make a presentation for them.
I ask to be given for what the presentation will be and they told me they will provide that only within a day or so of the interview.
I just ghosted them. I am busy with work and life as is. Not willing to l out de a sleep trying to cram a presentation in an all nighter episode or lose my weekend for a start up
Go with your gut - I’ve done only for jobs I was all in for - even then I limited to 4 hours tops .
I had a final interview and the. They said it’s between 3 people do a project to decide and I said no thank you. Got another offer .
Ask what the compensation will be if any of your interview work is used by them in any form.

Of course they're not going to use his work. It's going to be a generic problem to solve, not a business product feature.

This speaks volumes about their culture. If they have no respect for your time as a candidate they're not going to respect your time as an employee. Asking someone to spend a weekend writing an entire app is completely unnecessary to gauge your technical skills. They just want to see if you'll jump through their hoops.
I would ask them out of respect for my time if I could do an assignment that takes no more than a couple hours. They will probably not agree so then I'd decline.
