Nope I’d persist
I think you have every right to add a little bass to your email if you will. Asking for a response either way so you can enhance your chances at the next opportunity is perfectly within your rights. Hell, you were the interviewee you have every right to have some finality/closure, be it positive or negative.
Write to the recruiter and say I’m concerned that I haven’t heard from you. Are you alright? Please provide an update on my candidacy for this opportunity.
Thanks so much and I look forward to you.
Hopefully. That will work.
Reach out to both CCOs on LinkedIn and /or email. Today.
Forget everybody on here making excuses for the recruiter. GOOD recruiters who actually give af will keep you updated within a week about the status of everything. Things do change quickly but you shouldn’t be left in the dark.
I’d start looking elsewhere seriously. May be a sign that they actually don’t have their shit in order.
Goddamit this shit is reprehensible
It means you are their top 2-3 candidate, but not their 1st. And before they can give you closure, they need to have their top 1 candidate accept, pass background, meet reference and maybe even start before they care or consider getting back to you.
Not necessarily… but this current shitshow in the fuck factory has made me rather cynical. I’d say move on. If they call you back with a) a good reason for the radio silence then it’s a happy surprise b) not a good reason, take it as a red flag or c) they don’t call you back at all and nothings different.
Hi!! I'm actually having this same reaction with a hiring talent at Publicis - Is this normal for there to be such a long wait before knowing if they are going to move forward with me?
They did this to me over the spring for two months and I still have not heard back LOL
It’s over. But doesn’t mean they didn’t want you. Maybe the position went away for one reason or another.
They won’t be angry if you follow up, but it’s gone.

They ghost you then write industry puff pieces about not ghosting. It’s all about their brand

Sometimes I’ve only found out when the new hire is announced on LinkedIn and it’s not me. Haha. Sorry you are going through this too.
If there’s a delay it can often be related to budget and they are waiting to find out if they can still hire for the role
100. Going on 2 months.
Publicis isn't a great place to work in at all
