1) did you go through general interviews before (vs specific team/role)? This is probably just team match stage pre-HC. They’re mostly not doing general HC-approved right now.
2) You always need hiring committee. Doesn’t matter if the HM is absolutely 100% sold on you- you have to go through it.
3) if this is team match it’s largely a chemistry check, though manager will still want to talk to you about your experience and make sure you’re a fit for what their teams needs are.
Fair enough D1, everyone has a different approach!
Update: the hiring manager’s manager’s “informal interview” went well. There was nothing “informal” about it. Now the hiring manager wants to talk to me again. Feel like I am going in circles :(
Has anyone had this before?
Also do they ask detailed visa transfer related questions before giving the offer? The recruiter sent me a long list of questions from their immigration team and I am still going circles in interviews and don’t even have an offer
(Trying to gauge on whether I should start getting my hopes high or not. Just yet)
This process takes forever, as you’re finding out. Just be patient.
Tbh I always advise not to get your hopes up until you sign the offer. There’s a million steps to get through first.
Had a similar experience...still waiting to hear.
Recruiter -> HM -> 2 more interviews -> managers manager -> ???
Which team is this with?
