I hate Deloitte. Been here for a couple months and this place is absolutely hell. Toxic culture and way too many internal processes to worry about.

Looking for info about the engineering culture at Netflix from the perspective of someone who identifies as a woman or non-binary person and is also a person of color. Do you feel safe and included? Would also love some input from someone in a leadership position, do you feel supported as a leader?

Been with Big Four advisory (GRC) for 10 years. Really tired of meaningless “consulting” and commoditized implementations. Recently been through a rough job search and finally landed an offer with a mid size bank in their risk practice. People say that the culture there is quite political and bitter but I’ll learn a heck lot and get a new opening on my resume. Salary is the same. The other option is to take a consulting job that pays me 50k more but do the same work! Thoughts? Thanks!

My fiancé just made Aliyah for med school. Long distance is hard but I love my job/firm culture. How to promote the automation culture and documentation culture? I find it hard to give boni for automations since
a) the amount of automations isn't the amount of saved time
b) the amount of saved time is hard to be tracked for a single automation

And how much everyone hates documentation is well known.

My natural instinct is to assume rejection if I have conflict with a partner or don’t think my feelings are reciprocated. Had a heart to heart talk with my director today. Been feeling overwhelmed and burnt out since my last job and trying to onboard into this new job (started 3 mths ago). I didn’t have any break between jobs so I realized I burned out quick here. I joined KPMG a while ago from federal consulting. Federal consulting had super good work life balance but I’ve been working at KPMG strategy for a while now. The hours are wild, my managers expect perfection, and I feel like it’s all meaningless. Does anyone else feel like this, how have you dealt with it, and is it like this once you go into industry?
