I have 23 years as a Psychiatric NP, but am looking into a career switch to Data Analytics or some other aspect of healthcare that will allow me to use my knowledge in some capacity but in a different manner. Anyone have any experience in Data Analytics in Healthcare? Worth going back to school for, or no?

I've met some clinicians who have gotten degrees in informatics. But if you want to do straight up analytics it really takes experience. It would be advantageous to become an Excel superuser, learn Tableau, maybe a coding language like python.
Best of luck!

I'm interested in a similar switch, too

I agree with PM1 - if you haven’t done courses or certifications it might be worth looking into. There are a lot of bootcamps and programs that offer career coaching and mentorship as well and are geared towards people who are changing careers.

There’s an MSN in nursing informatics and post bachelorette certification in Health Care informatics it’s just a completely different curriculum than NP so I don’t think it would be that easy to just transition over considering it’s a different type of education required. But my area is paying top dollar for Psych NPs and tons of remote opportunities more so than any other NP specialty. You could always teach in BSN programs too with your current degree. Just throwing out options. Good luck

Hello, I’m an LMSW in Michigan. I have 15 years of experience in the field as a clinician, supervisor, and an administrator. I am feeling burnt out and unsure of my future. I have worked mainly in the Community Mental Health and the VA Health systems, hence my fatigue. I’ve flirted with private practice work in the past, but my spouse has been worried about not having affordable healthcare and benefits that each system provides. Is it worth the jump? Am I overthinking things?

I’m wearing too many hats but I love what I do. I would love to be a remote graphic designer but I don’t know where to start. Any suggestions?

Please help! I’m a CRC who manages Investigator- led clinical research projects and I want to transition to a PM role in industry (I would slightly prefer not a PM role in clinical trials since I don’t have clinical trial experience.) I’ve applied to PM roles at many biotech companies (e.g. Charles River, ICON, Paraxel) but only got 1 interview which didn’t work out. Which companies should I look to for an entry level PM role? Any good startups to consider? Anyone have any insight or advice?

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.
