*Advice* I recently accepted position at a 50K pay cut (covid). I shared my target salary /lateral move & at the negotiation point, they came up slightly by way of qtrly bonus structure but also outlined path for growth incl. expected salary increases at said points. Said it could be achieved in under a year. By day 4 of the new job they had accelerated to the final point in that plan without making good on title / salary. Spoke up immediately... “in discussion” 2 weeks in. Bait/switch WWUD??

i just had an excellent review with my supervisors. we are aligned i am ready to be promoted. i will be moving from project manager to senior project manager. the catch; my company has laid off 75% of its staff, and cut our salaries by 25%. timing is unclear, since we work in the live entertainment space. what is fair to ask for? i have 7 years work force experience, am the only one in my position, touch every creative deliverable the agency makes, and updated and streamlined 10+ processes.

PSA: reminder to schedule a day or two off in the upcoming weeks for a 4 day weekend (heck maybe even an entire week). It can do wonders for alleviating stress. Today I’ve gotten my oil changed, taken my dog to the vet, cleaned up my unibrow & have a facial scheduled. The rest of my day will be applying to jobs. I’ve only checked my email once and it feels so ridiculously good not to be tied to a laptop Monday morning. Take that time off ladies!

Senior 3 at EY, banked my bonus and expecting promo in October (so $30k on the table in bonuses to stay). Realizing that I'd like to explore accounting advisory though (either FAAS at EY or something at another B4 or other smaller firm (e.g., CBIZ?)). Any recommendations on timing of exploring this internally (should I float something up and investigate at EY this spring? will it take a full year to transfer if accepted?
