I have a florida law firm handling a florida case needing to subpoena records/deposition of a NJ resident. To do same, subpoena needs to get domesticated in nj. I am a NJ lawyer, and was asked to do this. My research is yielding conflicting rules and would rather have a NJ lawyer whose done this help. Really easy stuff for them, I am sure. Willing to pay if needed. Let me know if any NJ attorneys on here are willing to help. Thank you in advance.

Wouldn’t hurt to contact your bar association about it … here in FL our bar association offers a “lawyers advising lawyers” service where you can put in a request to speak with an attorney experienced in a specific area of law, and they connect you with someone; it’s included as part of bar membership! Maybe NJ has something similar.

I am licensed in nj, ny and fl and there is one thing I can say: ny/nj are archaic. FL is 100x more resourceful. The FL bar answers the phones, they help. Ny/nj, good luck.

I called the county's bar association asking for a referral yesterday and today, 0 response. Just answering machines. Insane.

Appreciate the tip.

And from the rule, as a nj atty, you can supposedly skip that step and sign the clerks name for her.

See why now I'd rather someone just hold my hand so I can see it done lol.

This is what I know as well. Appreciate the response.

I need help with minor issues now, e.g., the form subpoena from the clerk's site has "plaintiff atty's info" in the top left corner requiring to submit a NJ atty registration number, and enter the Nj county court's information, however, no nj county court is a part the action. I am not p's atty, so it seems misleading if I put my registration number there but was told by a non lawyer admin person from the court to put my info there. Should be so easy, but imposter syndromes taking over and dont want to mess this up as it can lead to more business with this firm

I’m currently interviewing with a few top 10 firms and a couple top 100 firms for a mostly remote experienced associate/new senior role. Does anyone have any tips on virtual interviews and how to gauge the culture of the firm and if it really will be a good fit for you? I’m struggling to figure out that out because I used to gauge it on the feeling I got while in their office during interviews. Any suggestions would be helpful :)

Need help building an electric schedule for a production schedule with a Gantt chart style view (sort of)

Currently have an excel list with resource (production line), start date and time, and then also the name of the item being produced.

Any ideas how to tackle this??

I’m thinking a stacked bar chart with the vertical categories to be my resources and horizontal the date/time and then each individual bar to be the name of the item being produced.

Thank you for the help Excel Gods 🙏
