I have a salary question. I'm interviewing for two positions. The first is foh manager for a new concept, I would have a chef to run the kitchen. The second is a food service manager position at the cafe. Overseeing the floor/stations and scheduling n such. Both are listed s food service manager salaried positions. I'm not sure what to ask for. I have been a salaried assistant manager with the company. That was 55,000 yearly. So I'm thinking 65,000. Any advice?

What reliable sites do I use to do market research on local salaries? I want to know if I am being underpaid compared to my local market and similar positions, but don’t know where to begin.

I’ve been approached my by company that one of our large clients (who im currently project managing for) is looking for a consultant of sorts, and if they hire us, I’d be the first person asked to take on this consultant role. This isn’t something my company typically offers and would greatly change the scope of my role. Has anyone ever taken on a role like this? If so, were you able to negotiate a percentage of the consulting fee? Or was it a bump in salary during the project?

Is negotiating offers the norm now? I’ve been at my company awhile and at the time I was hired they said they don’t do negotiations, take it or leave it and they’d offer the next person.
