I have been a lead sales coordinator the last 5 years with my current company and it has just run its course. There is nowhere for me to move up in the company, and the management is less than helpful when I say I want to take on more tasks. I do not own a book of business, but I do maintain customers as well as be the first point of contact to my sales people. Any ideas on where I could go next? I’m getting compensated well, so I am not looking for entry level. Thanks

I am currently a year from finishing my PhD and was looking at VC's as a career path because I like to do meta-analysis of different climate change techs. I networked with VCs and one of them was receptive but didn't have the budget currently for a full time hire. They said they'd be interested in working with me to do a research paper over the coming semester, and was wondering if I could leverage this into a full time offer?

Is a white paper with a VC going to be attractive on my CV?

I was just talking to a younger friend who goes to Cal and It seems like the kids these days hate FAANG or at least Amazon and Facebook are not desired at all. My company blames my generation for not being able to hire everyday. “You guys don’t want to work” coming from some overweight, racist, old coaster.
