I have been employed with the same employer for over 20 years I don't have a blemish on my employment record until recently when I was put on a PIP plan by a supervisor young enough to be my child. It wasn't until she sent me a copy of "our conversation " that I realized what she had done. What's my recourse? I think she's trying to get rid of the seasoned workers. Does having a PIP keep me from transferring to another area? Is there any recourse by going to HR? She has no manager exp.

What do you do for winter shoes and commuting?

I walk a total ~20 mins in between train/bus stations and then getting from the stop in the loop to the office.

What do I do come wintertime for boots? Do you wear them while you're in the office? Or do you bring dress shoes with you to change in to? I wear a suit to work, so what boots would be good for winter but also look decent with a suit? This is my first winter in Chicago (a socal transplant)
