PwC 1, saying “my manager” versus “my staff” is highly different. "My manager” doesn’t imply you boss them around, your manager is your superior. Saying “my staff" implies their yours, and no one else’s. You’re their superior. We are just seniors. We are coaches. No one is ours. We are bitches to partners. Do you hear them calling us their staff? No you don’t. We are their team. Let’s act like one
What?!? Everyone says “my staff” because they don’t want to have to say “the one staff that works on my engagement specifically the one that works on the majority of my sections.” Exactly the same reason I say “my manager” instead of “the manager on my job that I report to the majority of the time."
It depends on the context - I would say our staff or my manager...someone was using as just your staff but not others...it’s the level but not your slave
So because they’re a staff you only refer to them as “our” staff yet it’s “your” manager? That makes no sense. At least be consistent in your irrationality
