I have found myself in charge of planning an offsite for around 80 mentors and their mentees in the Boston area. Any good ideas on what we should do that aren’t the typical high ropes course or mind-numbing team development exercises? It can include alcohol but doesn’t have to. I have a lot of flexibility with this.

Kayak the Charles river, but that might be more of a warm weather type of thing…

Most cities have VR bars with the headsets and drinks.

Indoor skydiving

You could take a tour of Fenway Park. It might be more interesting if people are coming from out of town and have only seen it on TV. I remember hearing once that they had tours that took you inside the vintage scoreboard, but I don't know if that's still on the menu. Anyway, a tour of the iconic ballpark and then dinner nearby might be fun.

Escape room

I second this. We did an escape room with the company I work for and I don't think there was one person that didn't like it. Its such a great team building activity as well.

bowling at flatbread in davis square is also fun for groups

Hi

We did an event where we built bicycles for the local boys and girls club for the holidays Teams of 5 and we built 50 bikes. The company bought and donated helmets to go with them. Was a fun experience. Competitive and everyone seemed to have a good time

I interviewed with a company last week and the interviewer said he would submit my notes to the hiring manager and I would hear back this Monday from HR on next steps/if they want to move forward. I didn’t hear back yesterday so I emailed HR and she said she wasn’t part of the hiring decision so would reach out to the initial interviewer for his feedback. I haven’t heard from her and it’s been 24 hours - starting to get worried. What should I do? Does this mean they’re not interested?
