I'm a product manager at a small start-up with ~3 years professional experience. Been offered a VC internship, or a PM role at a post series B startup. I like the idea of VC, but the internship is at a non-prestige VC. Is it worth taking it anyway, or staying in product and switching to VC when I'm more senior?

My only concern is the hiring manager. I talked to someone in my network who has worked with him in the past and she told me that she would 100% work with him again bc she learned a lot, but that he has a very dominant personality and that some ppl can butt heads with him.

I wanna get my foot in the door of any vet office I live in Maryland and I will start out as anything I just don’t know where to start. I have lots of experience with customer service and I love love love pets! I have Pets of my own and they are my world.

Currently making 180 TC at a large bank and have an offer from a FAANG for 260 TC. Salary is not much different (165) but bonus/equity structure is decent. fully remote, dope company etc. I’ll be moving laterally in terms of title but I get the impression the scope/impact is larger and leveling is different in tech… no brainer?

It's sad to see people with 2-3 years of experience getting paid more than you when u have double the experience. 😄 Best part is they are still complaining of getting less. Well I guess you should never settle. New gen is giving a hard time to the experienced folks. I think this is the high time to upgrade your skills. Come out of your comfort zone and start looking for new opportunities. I think this is the best time to switch if u haven't already in quite some time.

I have an offer from a start-up which I will be joining next week. Even though I got a hike more than 100% ( current tc: 6lpa, new tc:14lpa) and changed to sde role I am still not satisfied. Seeing all those comp posts on leetcode I felt I can be one of them. But now I am feeling left behind and not able to move on. I know I have no dev experience. At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project. I believe I'm on track to promotion in the next year. So, I could put in a year of full time school to check the box off, but I'd be sacrificing hobbies and social life (not to mention cost). Is this FOMO or is there real opportunity here?
