I have my wedding date set for December and my H1B visa expires in September so if I leave the country I will have to get my stamping done.
My company is not allowing remote for longer than two weeks and I am not sure how long the visa processing will take.
They also mentioned that since I am going for personal reasons they’re not obligated to help me out in case the processing takes longer

HR opinion: Do I have any leverage as a hospital nurse case manager in negotiating earned time? I have 15 years within the organization, left for 10 months to be remote during the pandemic while sorting out childcare as immunocompromised family helped. Now HR is restarting my ET as a new employee. I realize I left, but not on bad terms and I am an exemplar and respected employee. I thought I’d have the upper hand with the nursing shortage but I’m getting the “rules are rules” response. Help!?!

It's almost as if people don't want to be in offices anymore so that's why it's difficult for them to fill those roles.
Sidenote: recruiters, you can see on my LI profile that I'm remote. In the "What jobs are you interested in" field you can see I'm only interested in remote roles.

Right now we have a ton of team leaders on the west coast with the core team on the east coast and because of that urgent requests keep coming down after hours with the expectation to address it immediately.
