This guy probably cheats on his wife with his 24 yo paralegal, will be divorced by 40, a cokehead or alcoholic with a DUI by 45.

And he’ll post about how much time he has now for emails with no pesky wife and kid around.

Okay I thought it looked like a black hood and a rope like some sort of goofy 19th century execution. I guess the realty is better... Sort of...

What a sad little man. I'm sure he is an insufferable bore. In 20 years, he'll wonder why his kids only seem to talk to their mother. In 40, he'll get thrown out of a grocery store for haranguing the staff about the optimal placement of pineapples. In 50, the staff at the long term care facility will be keeping him sedated so they don't have to listen to him bloviate. No one will know, because his family never visits.

like

Just wanna say the "proper placement of pineapples" is just so excellent and spot on, comedy gold friend, love it!

I have a slightly different take. There’s time off and there’s vacations. I only take vacation 1x a year, maybe every other year, but it’s no laptop, phone down, truly unplugged. I do take time off, that’s me playing golf, being at home doing projects, or spending some family time…but phone is on, I respond to stuff that’s actually important and monitor stuff that needs attention.

He cranks his hog every night???

Sad.

I’m an MS Management Student graduating in June 2023. I applied to over 40 positions within the Big 4/MBB and even with extensive networking, I haven’t heard back from any really. I have an offer from a pretty well-known but less prestigious Consulting Firm, but I’m wondering what my chances even are of going Big 4/MBB if I’m not a campus hire. Will they even consider me for an experienced hire a year or two down the road if they showed no interest this time? Any advice welcome!

I have not been diagnosed with ADHD. I definitely fit some of the characteristics that go unnoticed in females. The good news is if i do have ADHD, it makes me quite good at my job as I’m very flexible and can provide positive energy to my patients. Anyway, my boss has told me I have ADHD multiple times. It seems rude when she says it, and she follows it up with “I say that because I love you” which i feel is so unprofessional all around. Anyone have guidance on how to handle this?

Does anyone else feel that the more content someone puts in their LinkedIn headline, the more full of it they are? I say this as someone with a bunch of stuff lol but at least it’s all at one company and accurate.

I’m talking mostly about two kinds of people. 1. The influencer who is actually unemployed, but lists 25 BS things they do
2. The brand collector, who writes “ex-“ for every former company they worked at and school they went to. Maybe less full of it but still insufferable.

I woke up today tired.

My work cell was buzzing and then I remembered something.

I forgot to thank the bus driver that dropped me off a few days ago.

I got up and rushed downstairs to find the bus driver.

It was raining outside but I was already running barefoot to the bus stop.

I stood there soaked in my pajamas as the bus approached.

Then, the door opened. The driver got up and shook my hand.

I sat down and started my shift.

I’m the bus driver. Reminder to love and thank yourself.

This one is going to make some of y’all mad, but it’s so annoyingly unnecessary. The most irritating part is “is it a shirt day or a skirt day”…. Like women don’t wear shirts with skirts and men don’t wear shirts with pants. Shirts and skirts are not mutually exclusive. I’ll just leave this here.
