We're looking for a Senior AD who wants to produce lots of TV with crazy talented writers, a great REMOTE work-life balance and very few layers. You'll have access to C level daily. Most briefs are one, sometimes two teams and you'll produce what gets bought. Sound good?
If so please send your CV to Jsimotics@digobrands.com.

Cooley Wilson and Latham have capm
Cooley pretty robust. I would message one of the partners. Try Charlie Kim
Mintz has a San Diego office that you could check out.

Latham SD here, DM me if you have questions.

Yikes. I think I will avoid Latham SD.
Latham, Cooley, MoFo
Latham if you’re in cap markets

Latham, Cooley and DLA are your best bets for cap markets.

Latham without a doubt for cap m. It’s also top dog in SD

So Latham and Cooley? I am in capital markets but it has been dead this year in my group so I was expecting to retool. Any boutiques or regionals I should also consider? I am already barred in California (long story) so I am hoping that gives me a slight advantage.

SD is a pretty small legal market tbh. For boutiques/regionals, you could look at Procopio and Robbins Geller (plaintiff’s side sec lit) but both aren’t going to pay close to market. Sheppard Mullen is big law but more California-based. I would say that most lawyers here probably consider Latham, Cooley, and Jones Day to be the three strongest. MoFo and WSGR have been growing though and aren’t the satellites that they used to be. If you want to retool for EC/VC, gunderson has a small group here
DLA - and I’m in SD. DM me if you wanna chat.
For regional and retooling to general corporate/VC or M&A Snell & Wilmer has a growing presence there. Happy to chat.
I’m at DLA in CA and we work pretty nationally, so being situated in San Diego wouldn’t limit your practice.

I wouldn’t underestimate your skillset if you don’t want to retool - what’s your year level? Were you super busy last year? Those firms might take a more long-term mindset and still want you, especially in a smaller market like SD where they aren’t getting a ton of great candidates (NY biglaw capm experience etc). Try and get attorney referrals (doesn’t have to be someone you know well, same law school, opposing counsel, fishbowl can all be referral sources) or just reach out for “networking in SD” rather than going through recruiter or direct applying since they probably won’t have listed openings for capm atm. Could even be a slow roll like they say you stay remote at your current firm for now but join them in the new year after collecting bonus (so they don’t have to pay it). We hired a well-qualified midlevel like that (not in SD) after months of informal networking with a partner at my firm.
