I have what I believe is a case of fraud regarding my bank account being accessed by an ex. BofA and Zelle say they will respond to requests for documents regarding this event, but they have yet to send me any information despite repeated requests. All they sent was a form letter telling me their investigation revealed “no fraud occurred.” But no details/documents showing how the investigation was conducted. What’s the next move? Should I get an attorney involved? Emphasis on “repeated requests

If it was a joint account you’re out of luck. If it was only your account and a password or something was compromised, you’re likely also out of luck. Only recourse would be to get it back in divorce if you were married but otherwise you must secure your accounts! You could send a demand letter to the party that you think took the $$ and/or file a police report. When they say “we will respond” they mean to law enforcement or attorneys.

like

This. It's only fraud relevant to BofA if they somehow allowed access by misrepresentation or hack. Otherwise it's on the account owner.

Did you file a police report?

Hi! I have many years of experience in Compensation and Benefits (HR) strategies to attract, retain and motivate talents in big corporations. I want to find a way to bring solutions for startups and entrepeneurs that are already in the need of such support for their own companies. I want to find ways to bring meaningful and practical solutions at reasonable costs for these organizations. Any ideas on how to become aware of their specific needs? C&B, talent management, performance appraisal.

Friends, need some feedback on an idea:

I’m thinking of starting a podcast interviewing leaders at startups about their experience with specific challenges - I know, cliche, get a more original hobby, etc.

Not looking for the narrative arc of How I Built This or Masters of Scale. Instead, looking to uncover specific problems faced by companies that tried something new for the first time. What did they not see coming, how did they adapt and measure, etc.

What are your thoughts on this format?

I have started a side hustle with two friends. It's Climate Tech related. We have been working with it for the past year as a part-time hustle. We want to take it to the next stage.

My two other friends have a background in consultancy and one of them had a mentor who is really high up at a Big4. He would like to join the start up as a Partner. He seems really experienced and could help raising money, although he does not seem to care about climate change.

What would be a good offer?

I started a company just under 1 year ago. We sell a product via ecom channels and have done ~100K in revenue with a 60% gross margin.

The first 6 months I was working a full time job. I quit my job to focus on the business full time, and have since depleted my readily available capital. I’m bootstrapping the business with my own funds. I was recently offered a job in my old industry for 80K per year. I was previously making 62K.

Should I take the job?

Really confused as to whether to incorporate my NY- based makeup startup as an LLC or an S-corp? Not based in NYC if that matters and no revenue yet. Should I be looking into Delaware at all (specifically a Delaware C-Corp) if I do plan on raising capital at some point down the line? Also - for any FDA lawyers out there, what is the problem with developing makeup (specifically foundations) with SPF? I've heard it's "heavily regulated." What do I need to be aware of? Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project. I've been promoted into a management role from Dev roots, so need to learn more PM processes to be an effective manager in day job, plus would like to start building my own SaaS solution.
