If you have zero interest in the stock market and research, just buy SPY or VTI and you're set. No need to pay an advisor.
From my experience advisors don’t do a lot. They have a few ratios they follow depending on your risk/length and then just take a fee.
I have 70% of my portfolio in etfs like SPY although I’d go with vanguards version because it has a lower fee.

Here you go. Someone posted this a while ago and I thought it was the best financial advice out there for beginners. This is what a financial advisor will tell you.
Now for passive IRA management - open up vanguard IRA and pick one of their funds or VTI. Done deal.
