How much hike did you guys get this year?
Hi there. Ex Deloitte Sr Mgr here, currently in tech pre sales (SaaS / MarTech). Recently spoke to both Salesforce and Adobe recruiters for roles that I thought were lateral moves (Sr SA / Sr SC), therefore I did not proceed with the selection process. The recruiters from both companies told me they typically hire at that level, and people are considered for promotion to Principal in 1 to 2 years. I found that odd. Is that right? What’s the typical TC for SAs and SCs there? (15+ yrs exp).

Don’t focus on a number, approach the conversation based on your accomplishments over the past year, and how you have positively benefited the company. Quantify the accomplishments where possible, and let your manager come back with a proposal, which you can then use as a baseline to counter.
All the best, friend, you got this!
What do you want? That’s what I would ask you first thing.
If they say no, be open and ask what activities you could be doing to add more value to justify the raise.
Your market rate can only be found by applying to other companies and getting an offer.
You’re a new grad barely getting your feet wet. You’re gonna get 1-4% raise depending on company and performance. Don’t expect anything else because you can’t ask for anything else until you have more experience.
