I'm also interviewing with Citi (hopefully its not same role ;) ) but my friend who is already at Citi said that their HR is notoriously slow and whole process could be 2-4 months... She said she had forgotten she'd even applied.
I don't know about the time it took you to get to the first round, but it took me a whole month...
And has been 2 weeks since the interview...
The time between final interview and offer can be awhile depending on how many interviews are left and things like that. I had the unfortunate experience where the recruiter/HR person who I was initially working with/set up the interview left Citi like the day of my last interview so it took awhile to hear anything back
Citi is on a massive hiring spree it seems—was the same in Japan about half a year ago.
I was making a jump around then and was interviewing for Citi’s IBD. Took nearly 3-4 months to get to the second to last round (with the directors). Got the verbal green light for the final round with MDs and HR, but that it would take at least another month to set it up.
Got an offer from another bank during that month and it was either gamble on Citi giving me the offer, which I assume would take another 1-2 months after the MD round, or take the guaranteed offer that was more attractive in total comp.
No brainer for me.
I would keep shopping around and looking for other firms while you wait
In that sense, yes, I was going through a 3rd party headhunter who had a direct line with the hiring manager.
It wasnt like I was getting daily updates but enough to make sure that I was aware that I was still in the running.
I interviewed for two different roles in city (NYC office) the recruiters were extremely responsive and both processes, 4 interview rounds, took about a month
Glad to hear someone had a nice speedy process..
Same! Not entirely sure what is happening my time line is similar to yours.
Same is happening with me , gone through the 2nd round of interview and it went well but not heard anything from HR since last 3 weeks and also on the portal my application is showing under “business review”
I’m in a similar boat…wondering how it all panned out for all of you…?
