Would you accept a title loss to move from T2 to MBB? Really good impression from practice and partners, however would bump from Manager to Senior Consultant level.
Up for promo ~12 months post joining, with initial hit in comp being mitigated with signing bonus. Would be a bump as soon as promo goes through.
However would mean ~1yoe seniority loss (although quite early in career)

Imagine you're looking for a remote job at a large company with a sophisticated marketing function, strong manager, and room for growth. Making good traction, but then you're contacted by a company in a niche that FASCINATES you...like you read books about this subject for fun, you'd probably love this job. It's remote, the salary is good, the manager is nice, but you'd be the most senior marketing person; the company is about 200 people. What would you do?
I’ve been with Accenture for 10 years and starting to get a few bites outside. Do you still wear suits to a interview or zoom call or is business casual ok? Years ago it was always suits but not sure about 2020. Not an executive role.
Thanks and have a great thirsty Thursday!
3 questions for ya'll:
1) Do we need to sign an employment bond, if we are offered an opportunity to go secondment/STA for few days/months with an onshore entity of the PwC Network?
2) Since secondment opportunity is offered to a select few, what does it mean for that individual in terms of growth, in terms of compensation and designation.
3) Can we negotiate and get a pay raise before signing an employment bond?
Thanks in advance!
Anyone switch from being a financial analyst to software engineering/programming/any other techy job? How was the transition? Was it worth it?
If the recruitment team isn't replying to your follow-up status emails continuously, does it mean that the prospect of interview no longer exists for you?
Is there anyone on here who has worked for/at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission? How was your experience?
WWYD: you're a somewhat green executive and a SME in your industry. You report to a senior exec who has no experience in your line of business and so hired you 3 yrs ago so they could fully delegate. While you mesh really well personally, you struggle to get your boss engaged with your teams work. They arent bad, per se, you've had worse.. but they don't communicate well and seem to avoid conversations on strategy and decision making.
What tactics do you use to get your boss better engaged?
“Oh! I have cheese in my pocket."
Worst HR at CapG. Each time I call them to inquire about the offer status, HR DECREASE THE PACKAGE BY 2 Lacs saying we are not getting approval. I have stopped calling now. This is ridiculous

So I'm an advisor and I'm trying to prospect the best of the best black clients. It's tough because the clients I work with think I'm up to something sketchy or shady. Does anyone have any language that I can use to help me meet higher quality candidates.
Hi fishes, do we get AIP in May payroll or June payroll? If the person is serving notice period and will be on payroll as of the AIP rollout date, will that person be considered for bonus or people serving notice period are not at all considered? Deloitte Deloitte USI
Citi employees - are there many consumer behaviour/insights teams in London? Recently started as a Business Analyst contracted for Citi but not loving it. I was thinking of asking to change teams or test out a team on top of current team but I would require training as I don’t have much Data Analytics experience…do I have a chance?

Opinions about Baringa Partners ? I’ve heard they have made some redundancies lately, can anyone confirm?
Would this bother you? My bf has made jokes a few times now about me being a “boss baby” or “baby boss”. In actuality, I am a leadership team exec who’s moved up really quickly in my org and manages a team (in industry) by my early 30s. For context, I’m the high-powered career person in our relationship. (He’s hard working but a satisficer vs a maximizer). I view myself more as a badass boss killing it through hard work and strategic effort, so it feels demeaning. I feel unseen. Overthinking?

What does senior director comp look like at FTI? I can't find any good answers here. Looking at CF&R group (in non-restructuring practice).
I am assuming it is a minimum of 200k in total comp.
How hard is it to switch from digital practices of big4 to MBB digital? What would be the steps taken assuming 1y experience? Is the work significantly different?
Hi All, Currently at a healthcare consulting firm making 50k (fully remote). Have a masters and few months of experience. My rent just went up to 3k per month in NYC. Tried applying to tons of remote only positions and haven’t received any offers. Anyone have any advice? Not really trying to move because I’m comfortable with the NYC area. Appreciate any insight. Thanks.
Maybe this was already addressed but interested in hearing MBB thoughts about BCG CEO elect not coming from an “elite school” (UT). Not looking to stir conflict but genuinely interested if this opens the conversation more broadly that great talent is everywhere and not just at Ivys.
Civilized, non-aggressive thoughts?
Getting a competing offer from another big 4 but I don't necessarily want to switch. I expect to get +20% from competing firm. What's normal to ask from my firm? They have agreed that I'm underpaid
The easiest way for a market adjustment is to go to the market and get an adjustment. (Look for opportunities elsewhere)
Whaaaat? Are you up for a promotion in the very near future? If yes, get a market competitive rate or get out. If no, get out. $55k is incredibly low for any consultant position, let alone 3 years of experience :/
How!? New hires are 80k plus signing bonus. Get out ASAP.
Also 3 years as an analyst when normal is 2? Something is not adding up here. We dont have the full story
This sounds low. Accenture pays analysts at the entry level $90k+. Look around for other opportunities.
PWC 1— it all depends on the business case. 6 years ago, I had an offer from ACN for $120k at a consultant level.
Are you US based? This isn’t adding up for US
This sounds like he is at a delivery center
I know this bc I worked in Orlando Center and this was my exact salary
That’s ridiculously low for the US. You should request a comp discussion the very least
OP, gtfo here. That is insulting to you. Now don't dwell on the past and just look ahead. Start applying now.
There is no way this can be true in the US
Then def have a comp discussion with your competency lead PPD. 3k of raises in three years seems out of line with market and standard progression of the job. Not to mention my understanding is that BTAs tend to be well paid anyway. My first year raise was 3k by itself. Are you underperforming (rhetorical)? Something isn't right about this.
Why have you not gotten promoted after 3 years?
Maybe he’s a feb hire. Feb hires take pretty much 3 years (2.7 years) to get promoted
OP - Are you in US? Core or Delivery center?
Really depends on your region too. Are you outside of the US? In Canada BTAs start in high 50s/low 60s
Could be canada. I'm a SC and I get paid 70k/yr
That’s below the Consultant level midpoint...unless your group doesn’t have the BA level?
OP, are you a BTA or were you hired into the UDSC or PDM career models as a BTA equivalent? If either of the latter, I’d try to switch to the traditional model.
OP at face value it seems very low but you need to provide more facts for us to tell you whether that salary is fine.
Run to the competition if they won’t give you s raise
If you’re at a Delivery center just run to another Big 4 theirs no hope....
What SC1 said !! OP is not answering questions here and not providing specifics without which it’s all out of context and half baked information.
