Hey anyone has advice on fixed income execution trader in a buy side firm? Sizable firm, good team, very low pay, okay wlb, been here for a year and working for 4 years in total, was sales/ small firm analyst before. Though trading is fun, but can’t think of executing orders for another 10 years. Trying to get on track of fixed income analyst - am doing some research in my spare time for my team now. I graduated in May of 22. I transitioned from being an intern to being a full time counselor, now for 6 months. I feel like I might be catching my agency at a tough time, but as an employee it doesn’t seem to be trying anything to keep me here besides the occasional ‘motivational’ posts from the administrative team. I felt like I was lowballed during my offer, and my negotiation salary was denied since this is technically my first “professional” job. Pt 2 in comments:

So embarrassed. I literally had one job to do today which was to schedule a client and give and take her paperwork when she came in. Totally called her by the wrong name today AND gave her the wrong paperwork. She was really nice about it but I feel like my boss was disappointed and I'm disappointed in myself. Just seems a little fad-like and money grabby to me. Thoughts?
