We are only getting Christmas and Christmas Eve off
Conversation Starter
One week?! I’ve worked at several hospitals across the states, and we only got the day, and we could volunteer to work for time and half but usually two social workers from the team needed to be on. Never got a week, ever. Just the day.
We can use our accrued time. Usually no more than a week will be approved at the holidays and it’s based on staffing needs as well as rotates based on who had time off last year.
We get the day after Christmas off. You can take additional PTO if you’d like though. What about you?
I'm running an independent practice right now but I take off December 24-Jan 2. So 1 week.
I get a week off but I took an additional week of PTO so that I could have two full weeks off.
Just the same. A week's off is absolutely fine with me. I don't get to have this long period of rest with my previous employer.
