I just read an article where the owner of a UIL policy is suing New York Life over the policy's cost-of-insurance charges. I understand UIL policies separate out the performance of the assets, mortality expenses, and other expenses. Did other companies offering UIL reduce their expenses due to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017? Also, why did the policyholder wait almost 10 years to file the lawsuit?

I'm curious what the average salary is for an Associate Agent. I'm licensed & do everything after the sale is made as well as refer new business. I have 14 years in the industry but have been at the current company less than a year, so I know that plays a part as well. Anyone in a like-position by chance?State Farm Allstate Travelers
