I keep hearing (read, frantically skimming articles) about the market changing because the recruiting war is over, the recession is coming and firms will be pinching pennies where they can. If I was thinking of trying to make a move into Big Law in Texas (Houston) is it too late? Should I wait it out, stay where I am and try to get in end of next year sometime?

I get calls for python but they demand scraping & webdev(selenium/bs/django/flask) which I have no interest in.
