I know this might not be the right place to talk about it, but some people call me ungrateful while others call me silly. I have a really great job with amazing benefits, but I still feel unhappy inside. I believe I was meant for something bigger, like starting my own business or even something small where I work for myself instead of for someone else. I don’t know where to start or who to reach out to for help. Right now, I feel quite miserable

6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. I already applied for unemployment but doctors are telling me I’ve got 10-14 weeks left in this pregnancy.. so stressed having twins and being unemployed, no maternity leave, no paychecks coming in, and I’ve been applying but not a single interview.. just ugh. 😭

For those that lateraled to another firm for FDD work - was your 2 week period paid out? Were you worked? Should I expect to have a 2 week paid vacation when I put in notice?

Salam. 23M here - all my life I’ve had my back on our faith - never really prayed but had imaan (I guess). After bouts of depression from girl problems (🙄), issues within immediate family, being disappointed expectations I had for myself, etc. I’ve been working on bettering my situation over the years. Faith is the only area where I think I need more guidance. Having trouble relating to friends or family about this. Anyone else been thru something similar? How have you connected back to Islam?
