An annual COL raise? Or a merit based one. What is your bonus tied to?
What’s the parameters for recieving a raise or bonus? For example, we get a minor COL adjustment every year, but the higher you are in the band already, the smaller that adjustment gets. Sometimes it’s not at all. As far as bonus goes, ours is time based - aka, prorated if you go out on leave. If yours is output or effort based and you missed busy season (and therefore output or effort was lower), I’d expect bonus to reflect that.
4 months leave is 1/3 of the year, you should have still been entitled to at least 2/3 of your bonus. Pay rises are inflationary and you should have gotten one as well. You say your firm is understanding of motherhood but none of this feels very understanding to me.
How do we know anything about OPs performance that dictates if they’re raise/bonus eligible?
