Top 10 books to read about consulting life ?
Bain & Company I’m from Italy and will start my master’s degree at Oxbridge this fall. I got my undergrad from a target uni in continental Europe. I want to start my career in consulting, possibly MBB, in London. I know consulting firms tend to hire locally but I’d really like to work in London and that’s also one of the main reasons why I went for the Oxbridge degree. Anyone, who might have some tips, or went through a similar experience? McKinsey & Company Boston Consulting Group Bain & Company

When i got offers from two top companies, i was feeling exactly what you did. Then a friend told me this-
There are two possibilities. One is, you’re really smart and you don’t know that. But these people recognized it. Which is great and you deserve this job.
Second is you really dont know anything, you faked it through 5 interviews with their most experienced designers and they’re so dumb that they hired you. In that case, do you really want to work for dumb people?
Read that once more.
Freakin loved this. Aww i love this community. Its just what I needed!!
I feel you a 100%, but always remember they have you there because you have a skill they hired you for. Sounds corny but as long as you have a hunger to learn, then you’re good.
As far as courses, I would suggest human interactions courses at the ‘interaction foundation’. I want take some of those courses or the master course they provide as well.
Trust me, I started as as intern, then apprentice, to designer 1 and now just got promoted to Product designer 2. I know the feeling of the imposter syndrome but it’s all in our heads.
I think it’s a great plan! Don’t doubt yourself. Even experts in their field of design, experience imposter syndrome probably daily, honestly. Programs move fast and it can be hard to keep up heck, I learn something new everyday! Take that course and go for it. You’ll hold that motivation if you’re passionate about the company and master it.
What’s the worst that could happen? Luckily today, employees hold the power so there’s plenty of other opportunities out there if it doesn’t work out.
Congrats! Imposter syndrome is real! Remember whoever hired you is not dumb and spent much time considering. The fact you want to study further shows how deeply you care about your job. You got this!

I was in the same boat. But it's okay to feel nervous sometimes.
You are hired because you are very talented and you have what they are looking for.
Nothing is rocket science, you will slowly get there. Take baby steps.
All the best you can do it. 🙂
